The government will allocate 300 million rubles to support electronic industry

12.11.2020

RUR 300 million will be allocated to support Russian companies working in the field of microelectronics. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The funds will be received by manufacturers of microchips for payment cards "Mir". At present, the cost of manufacturing such chips in Russia is higher than abroad. The subsidy will help make Russian products more competitive.

Thanks to the state support, 5 million chips will be sold in 2020. It is expected that in the future, due to increased production volumes, the cost of domestic products will be reduced to the level of foreign competitors.

The solution will also help achieve the target of the state programme Development of the Electronic and Radioelectronic Industry in terms of the Russian electronics market share. The funds for the subsidy will come from the Government's reserve fund.
